" I have not failed. I've just found 10,000 ways that won't work. "

--Thomas Edison

Feeling down in the dumps most of the day, slight head-ache... feeling better now. Da Boards, email ( backlogged e-mail down to about 20 !!! ), poetry, research, Fed the horses, Bible study, met with the LDS Elders for about an hour.

Ashley still sick... Chrissy stayed home. Grandkids still wound up at 10:30 p.m. PST.

My entries... " Poetry in Motion" daily contest:

                         Aftermath

                   Foul ruins

                   Hearts of dung preying

                   on the flesh of tears

                   ... shattered, harried

                   Death desired

                    Vine

        Vermillion leaves

        as tears cascade to ruin

        Flourishing enniche

" Aftermath  "... the worst of society preying on the weak or mis-fortuned amongst social decay ( or conflagaration... I guess ).

" Vine  "... a Haiku: pretty much tells the whole story... a vine of orange-red leaves growing in a tiny crack in stone ( or possibly out of an out-of-focus tree ).

e-mail to my brother Robin:

I've received the printer... Thank you very much for the gift. The box is beautiful ! Next I'll explore the contents and set 'er up. Already thinking of projects and stuff to do. I was so excited when the FedEx duder drove up that I unnerved him a bit.

Yeah... ink doesn't grow on trees... yet. Genentech, Inc., is working on that right now as I type. They promise it will also be a good source of vitamin C... and create world peace ( if the world leaders will all take an IV drip every quarter ). Cool !!!!

Thank you and God bless you and yours,
