"Poetry should surprise by a fine excess and not by singularity - it should strike the reader as a wording of his own highest thoughts, and appear almost a remembrance."
--John Keats... a link !!!

More 'remembrance':

"There is pleasure in calm remembrance of a past sorrow." --Marcus Tullius Cicero
"Remembrance and reflection how allied. What thin partitions divides sense from thought."
--Alexander Pope
"Sow good services: sweet remembrances will grow from them." --Germaine de Stael
"Praising what is lost makes the remembrance dear." --William Shakespeare
"That which resembles most living one's life over again, seems to be to recall all the circumstances of it; and, to render this remembrance more durable, to record them in writing." --Benjamin Franklin

No pain in my left foot noticeable on Sunday morning ! which allowed me walk to and from my ride to church... each way somewhere between one kilometer and one mile in distance. My breathing was not too good, but I took my time... perhaps 25 to 30 minutes each leg of the distance. The morning walk was delightful with a slight breeze and still cool, though mostly uphill. The afternoon walk possibly 85° Fahrenheit or more, and a bit humid, but then mostly downhill. Sunday sacrament and classes were most enjoyable.

Sunday dinner al fresco with the clan... and bugs, which scared off my daughter and her brood. Pool times... a bit chilly for Gail and I, but perfect for the grandkids and their parents.

Gail's been up out of bed three, now four, times since retiring for the evening. She took a pill to try to get some surcease from her pain... guess it's not working too well.

I wish to attribute any typos to my cat, Taffy-Doodles, who refuses to be ignored and on occasion depresses a key or two between ear scritches. I'll use the spell check and proof-read more than usual just in case.

6.7 magnitude Richter quake near Juneau, Alaska, USA !!! I pray all's well. A smaller 4.5 Richter quake hit in the state of Illinois, USA... which seems odd.

" Love Past "... To past love(s). A cathartic piece to commemorate this day.

" Nexus "... a Haiku: nexus... the village being connected in time to both glacier and moraine through cause and effect... The photo perhaps an Alpine village set below a precipitous mountain in late spring or early summer... the grass and trees most verdant... the remnants of an old glacier just up the foot of a mountain rill.

Tschüss !!!
